Our telehealth-based practice is dedicated to helping clients achieve profound transformation through approaches like Internal Family Systems (IFS) and other experiential therapies such as EMDR and AEDP. We are committed to fostering a healing relationship with oneself and others, guiding clients beyond mere insight to achieve lasting emotional change.

Who This Is For

Inner Worlds Counseling is seeking clinicians who are provisionally licensed and who are eager to explore depth-oriented therapy. Ideal candidates are drawn to experiential and relational approaches, curious about parts work and emotional processing, and motivated to grow their own practice.

This position is designed for clinicians who are interested in building a private pay practice over time.

You might be a good fit if you:

  • Are provisionally licensed (PLPC/LPC-IT or equivalent)
  • Feel drawn to experiential, relational, or depth-oriented therapy
  • Are curious about parts work (IFS), attachment, and emotional processing
  • Want to learn how to attract and retain private pay clients
  • Are willing to grow your caseload gradually and intentionally

This is not a high-volume or insurance-based model.
It’s a space to develop your identity as a therapist and build something sustainable.

What You'll Receive

Practice Infrastructure

  • Fully set up EHR, scheduling, billing, and intake systems
  • No need to manage payments, forms, or backend logistics
  • Clients are billed automatically through the practice

Clinical Development

  • Personal consultation. Personal consultation focused on how to do consult calls, run an EHR, build a private-practice
  • Support in developing your clinical voice and confidence
  • Space to explore stuck points, cases, and your own internal process as a therapist (as well as free access to my IFS consultation group)

* I do not offer clinical supervision at this time. Applicant must provide their own LPC-S.

Practice-Building Support

  • Guidance on setting up your Psychology Today profile and marketing
  • Support in learning how to attract and retain clients
  • Transparency around how private practice actually works (rates, systems, taxes)
  • A pathway to transition into running your own business and independent practice, if that becomes your goal

Inner Worlds Counseling is committed to fostering your professional development. This practice offers free IFS consultation and training from Heidi, and partial support for Internal Family Systems (IFS) training from other sources. These trainings are designed to deepen your understanding and enhance your therapeutic skills. Additionally, I’ll provide a clear pathway for those interested in transitioning to independent practice, ensuring you have the tools and confidence needed to succeed on your own terms. Embrace the chance to grow within a nurturing environment that values your personal and professional evolution.

Inner Worlds’ clinicians benefit from a rich tapestry of learning experiences, including weekly 1-hour consultations with a focus on experiential and IFS approaches. These sessions are crafted to help you develop your clinical voice and navigate complex cases with confidence. You’ll have the space to explore your own internal processes and address any stuck points. 

Compensation & Structure

Fair and Transparent Compensation

  • 70/30 split (you receive 70% of all your session fees).
  • All administrative and platform costs are covered by the practice
  • Fully remote (telehealth)*
  • Flexible scheduling. You create your schedule.

*You may practice in-person with your own set up, but office space will not be provided.

Caseloads are built over time and are not guaranteed at the start. However, I will provide referals and feature you as a clinician on my website.
This position is best suited for someone who is comfortable growing into their practice.

A Private Pay Pathway

Many early-career clinicians are told that private practice comes later—after years of agency work or insurance-based settings.

At Inner Worlds Counseling, I take a different approach.

I support clinicians in learning how to:

  • Build and maintain a private pay caseload
  • Develop a clear clinical voice and niche
  • Create work that feels sustainable, not overwhelming

This means:

  • Slower, intentional growth (rather than immediate full caseloads)
  • Learning how to connect with the right clients—not just any clients
  • Developing confidence in your work and your value

Over time, this creates a practice that is more flexible, more aligned, and more sustainable.
