For Therapists & Clinicians · Inner Worlds Counseling

You hold space for everyone else.
When did you last let someone hold it for you?

IFS Depth Sessions for therapists ready to meet their own system — not as a clinician, not as a student, but as a human being.

An invitation

Turn that quality of attention inward.

You spend your days holding space for other people's inner worlds. You know what it means to sit with pain, to track what's beneath the surface, to stay present when things get hard.

Whether you've been curious about IFS for years or have never experienced parts work firsthand — this is an invitation to turn that same quality of attention toward yourself.

These sessions are a chance to experience IFS from the inside — not to learn a technique, not to practice a skill, but to genuinely meet your own system with the kind of curiosity and care you offer everyone else.

You may discover parts that have been working overtime without acknowledgment. Protectors that show up in your clinical work without you choosing them. Wounds that haven't had space to be heard because you're always the one doing the hearing.

"Knowing about parts is different from being in relationship with them. This is where that relationship begins."

This isn't supervision. It isn't consultation. It's your own therapy — with someone who speaks the language and understands the particular shape of a clinician's inner world.

What this is

IFS Depth Sessions for clinicians.

90-minute sessions designed for exploration and mapping — getting to know your protective system, building relationships with the parts that have been working hardest, and beginning to sense what they organize around.

Deep trauma processing isn't the focus — though genuine moments of shift, memory reprocessing, and unburdening happen naturally when your system is ready and your parts feel truly met.

This is for you if...

  • You're a therapist, counselor, social worker, or other mental health professional
  • You've been curious about IFS but haven't experienced it personally
  • You're feeling burnt out, stuck, or aware that something in you needs attention
  • You want the kind of session you'd want your own clients to have
  • You're already familiar with parts work and want to go deeper in your own system
  • You're in supervision or consultation but need something more personal

Heidi McKinley, IFS Therapist

Heidi McKinley, LPC

IFS Level 1 · EMDR Trained · AEDP Level 1 · Licensed WI & LA

I work with therapists and clinicians who are ready to experience parts work rather than just study it. I understand the particular shape of a clinician's protective system — the parts that perform competence, the ones that over-function, the ones that carry vicarious grief. This work is for the human underneath the role.
